SpiceGravityDynamics.compute_dynamics¶
- SpiceGravityDynamics.compute_dynamics(time, state)[source]¶
This method computes the dynamics for the state vector
The dynamics are returned as a 1d array of length 42. It gives the time derivative of the state vector.
The first 6 elements of the dynamics array are the position and velocity components of the state vector respectively. The last 36 elements are the dynamics of the covariance matrix raveled in c-order.
- Parameters:
time (float) – the time at which the dynamics are to be computed in ephemeris seconds since J2000
state (ndarray) – The state vector to compute the dynamics for
- Returns:
The time derivative of the state vector
