static UCAC4.get_zone_block(ra, dec)[source]

This tells you the zone and block number that correspond to a specific ra dec pair

Parameters:

  • ra (Real) – the right ascension under consideration in units of degrees

  • dec (Real) – The declination under consideration in units of degrees

Returns:

a tuple containing the zone and block location for the ra/dec

Return type:

Tuple[int, int]
